The pulmonary function laboratory provides examinations that help in the differential diagnosis of diseases related to various specialties such as pneumology, rheumatology, cardiology, oncology, neurology, internal medicine, among others.The sector follows the guidelines of the Brazilian Society of Pneumology and Tisiology (SBPT) and is certified by this medical society as a reference in Brazil. It has modern equipment for the realization of spirometry, measurement of pulmonary volumes through plethysmography, measure of pulmonary diffusion, chemical bronchoprovocation and exercise. These exams measure respiratory mechanics, gaseous exchanges and airway hyper-responsiveness.
